The Blue Crab Festival is held every Memorial Day weekend along the riverfront in Palatka, Florida, in remembrance of the members of the U.S. military who died while serving our country. This year’s Blue Crab Festival will be held from Friday, May 24, to Sunday, May 26, 2019, and will feature carnival rides, a seafood cook-off, live music, arts and crafts, and much more.
The Festival kicks off on Friday, May 24, 2019, featuring great local bands performing from 6:00 p.m. to midnight, along with excellent food and good times. There’s live music all weekend long, playing until midnight each night.
Seafood: Visitors can enjoy lots of delicious and fresh seafood at this event, including shrimp, crabs (including blue crab), scallops and more. Food is served throughout the weekend.
For the kids: Carnival rides feature a Ferris wheel, tilt-a-whirl, merry-go-round, bumper cars, a giant slide, funhouse, train, and other fun rides. Children will also enjoy a kids zone including inflatables, children’s rides, pony rides, face painting and a petting zoo.
Arts and crafts vendors will be on site at the Blue Crab Festival as well. Visitors can browse through over 100 artisans from St. Augustine and throughout Northeast Florida. The variety of goods will include toys, furniture, paintings, pottery, stained glass, clothes, quilts, jewelry, purses, and more. Vendors will find more information here.
