The University of Florida and St. Lucie County Extension staff will begin a six-week series, Horticulture Skills and Entrepreneurship, every Tuesday from April 24 through May 29.
Classes run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Indian River State College’s Blackburn Center, 3002 Ave. D, Fort Pierce.
Topics covered will include how to grow vegetables, including the process of selection, planting, irrigation, pest control and harvesting; along with how to start a business and how to benefit financially from horticulture skills.
