The January 2019 issue of Florida Grower, a monthly magazine, features Senior Online Editor Paul Rusnak’s story “7 Food Trends to Watch for in 2019: Blockchain, modern markets on the front burner.”

Trend No. 3 is “Fruit Variety Matters.” More than 7,000 varieties of apples are available, and “69% of U.S. consumers buy apples. With this, grocers are likely to expand their varieties to attract more discerning customers,” Rusnak writes.
