In addition to serving as a food-business incubator, 435 South Main has a kiosk selling items that local artists have donated to benefit the Rooterville Sanctuary, home to over 300 rescued farm animals. A new food incubator, 435 South Main, has opened in Gainesville. Run by Florida Organic Growers, this new food-business incubator is available for independent entrepreneurship, classes and private events.

The location, at 435 S. Main St., serves as a low-cost way for educators and entrepreneurs to operate, by offering access to a certified commissary kitchen and a pop-up café space, as well as retail and classroom areas.

435 South Main is operated by volunteers and is now open to the public during Artwalk, held the last Friday of each month. Summer operating hours are every Thursday and Friday. Hours of operation will expand as new entrepreneurs and volunteers come on board.

To participate, contact Casey at 904-716-0526 for kitchen and café-related inquires; or Sarah at 352-562-5138 for retail, event and class inquires.
