Would you like to take a vacation and have free room and board? And visit new places around the world? And help to reduce your carbon footprint on Earth?

Then become a WWOOFER. That’s what volunteers for the World Wide Opportunities for Organic Farms (WWOOF) are called.

WWOOF is a worldwide movement that links volunteers with organic growers. The goal is to promote cultural and educational experiences based on trust and non-monetary exchange, thus helping to build a sustainable, global community.

As a volunteer, you will live alongside your host, helping with daily tasks and experiencing life as a farmer.

Opportunities for WWOOFERS abound: farms in North America, including the U.S.; as well as in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Central and South America.

The four-step process is easy: Choose your destination; join the right WWOOF group for you; find your hosts; go. For more information, visit wwoof.net/#wwoof-start.

You can serve as a host farm

If you would like to participate as a host farmer, you will have visitors from your own country or abroad who want to connect with the land and support the organic movement. For more information on becoming a host farm, visit wwoof.net/#destination.
