Carrots — your new favorite vegetable? We bet they will be, after you visit the newly opened The Sarsaparilla Club located at The Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach. This brand new hotspot by Top Chef alums Jeff McInnis and Janine Booth (who also worked together at Gigi, Yardbird and most recently Root & Bone) features American dim sum, along with more substantial menu items (you’re not going to want to miss their Fried Chicken).
While we adore the atmosphere, the vibe, the concept (ok, almost everything about it), we were all about the Spiced Honey Carrots & Farro Salad. Yes, the carrots — and we’d drive a long distance just for this dish. Bringing you a taste of the Middle East, this inspired dish, combines roasted carrots, green harissa, baby kale and Marcona almonds, all of which are served atop a bed of labne — and it is our craving for this week.
